Directions: Santa Clara County Field Sports Park. Take 101 South to the Bernal road exit. Follow Bernal Road to the Old Monterey Highway, South. Take Old Monterey Highway to Metcalf Road East. Metcalf road crosses back over HWY 101. Take Malech Road right, to the range. The tournament will be held on the 200-yard range.
Rules: Except where otherwise noted in the GENERAL INFORMATION section (see below) of this program, CMP Excellence in Competition Rules (13th Edition -2009 -green book) will be used.
Open To: Members and guests of the San Jose Zouaves and the Santa Clara Valley Rifle Club (SCVRC).
Entry Fee: $20.00 / Adult & $5.00 / Junior Entry fee includes picnic lunch!
Entries: Phone and email entries will be accepted up to noon on Saturday June 5th, 2010. Late entries MAY be accepted on the day of the event for an additional fee of $5.00; regardless of age or classification. Due to the popularity of this event advanced registration is strongly encouraged.
Entries Close: 0830 on the day of the event. Space is limited so competitors who fail to arrive and register in a timely manner may not be permitted to participate.
Entry Limit: No more than 48 shooters will be permitted to participate.
Teams: Teams shall be composed of ALL of the firing members and quests from each club separately. An average of the scores of each rifle classification (As Issued & Unlimited) shall be added together to form one final team score. Any participant firing in this event who does NOT wish to be included in the team score MUST declare that intention prior to the start of the match. Such individuals will be allowed to shoot on a space available basis only!
Juniors: California State Law requires that the parents/legal guardian of ALL Juniors (<18 yrs) provide prior written authorization to participate. ANYONE un-familiar with this event, and especially the rifles used in the event, is strongly encouraged to acquire training beforehand. Both clubs routinely provide training opportunities prior to this event. See contacts above for more information.
Juniors will not be permitted to participate in this event without:
Squading: Each club will be responsible for squading its own team members. The SCVRC will be appointed firing points 1 – 8, and the San Jose Zouaves firing points 9 through 16.
Firing Starts: The Match will begin promptly at 0900.
Classification: Competitors will be classified according to rifle type (CMP Rule 9.2.2 - As Issued or Unlimited) as outlined in the CMP Rule book.
Awards: Winning team will capture the perpetual club trophy. 1st through 3rd place for individuals in both As Issued and Unlimited classifications and 1st through 3rd place for juniors.

Safety: A safety briefing shall be conducted immediately prior to this event. Empty Chamber Indicators (ECI) are required.
