Home > Long Range Practice at Coalinga
April 4, 2004 was the first practice at Coalinga. Ten members from the Zouaves showed up and we had a goodtime. We are going to have more of these practice matches in the future. They will be announced at club meetings.
What we are trying to achieve here is to get members to participate in practice matches on the full distance course to get a feel of shooting at six hundred yards and working the target pits.
Practice will start at 0900 Sunday morning, day of the practice. There will be a fee of $5.00 to cover target material. Steve Quinn was kind enough to lend us the key to the target shed. Also I
purchased target materials for the practice. We will squad relays, each stage will have a time period of twenty five minutes to shoot as many rounds down range.
Coalinga is south of San Jose and there will be a map posted on the Zouaves Website for directions.
The range at Coalinga has bathrooms and showers. Also camping is available for $5.00 per night.
