2004 Garand Match

Location:
Santa Clara County Field Sports Park. Take 101 South to the Bernal road exit and Bernal Road to Monterey Highway South. Make a left turn at Metcalf road and over 101. Take Maleach road right to the range. The match will be held on the 200 yd range.

Open To:
Members of the San Jouse Zouaves, the Santa Clara Valley Rifle Club and their guests.

Teams:
Each club will shoot as a team, with ten scores from each team being used to determine the final team score. Coaching of participants during the match is allowed and encouraged. Each team will have a team Captain and a scorer who will be exempt from other match tasks. All other team members are expected to assist with Match operating functions. Match participants are required to pre-register no later than June 2rd in order to properly squad the event.

Fee:
$25 per Adult and $15 per Junior. Entry fee includes a BBQ lunch after the Match, 55 rds of CMP .30 cal Ball ammo, and trophies. Any excess funds will be divided between the clubs on a per capita basis.

Course of Fire:
CMP official John Garand Match Course B (table 5-7)
Sighter Stage -Slow prone, 5 rds in 5 min.
Stage #1 - Slow Prone, 20 rds, 20 min
Stage #2 - Rapid Prone, 10 rds, 70 sec
Stage #3 - Rapid Sitting, 10 rds, 60 Sec
Stage #4 - Offhand Slow fire, 10 rds, 10 min
Each relay will shoot thru the Course of Fire

Targets:
200 yd Short Range Target only

Rules:

• NRA Highpower rules will Apply.
• Shooters with alibis will be permitted to fire alibi rounds immediately following the fired stage they were generated.
• Only M-1 Garands in cal 30-06 are allowed. They are not required to meet the CMP "as issued class" definition.
• Club issued M2 ball ammo is the only allowable ammunition.
