PRONE MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT

Match Summary: This is an all-prone match consisting of three fifteen shot stages (45 total record shots) using the 200 yard simulated 600 yard target with participants competing within different rifle classifications.

Date: 8:00 AM, Saturday, August 30, 2003

Location: Santa Clara County Field Sports Park 200 yard Range.

Open to: Members of the San Jose Zouaves Rifle Club and the Santa Clara Valley Rifle club.

Classes of Rifles:

· Any rifle/any sight (Any rifle with either open sights or a scope)

· Any rifle/iron sight (Any rifle with open sights, e.g. bolt rifles, space guns.)

· Service rifle (M1, M1A, AR, no scopes)

· F class (any of the above rifles with any sight and a support, e.g. bi-pods, sand bags, etc.)

There will be separate awards/recognition for each class of rifle.

Course of fire:

Sighter stage: Three minute preparation period and five minutes for unlimited sighters.

Stage 1: Three minute preparation period followed by fifteen record shots in 15 minutes

Stage 2: Three minute preparation period followed by fifteen record shots in 15 minutes

Stage 3: Three minute preparation period followed by fifteen record shots in 15 minutes

Match: Aggregate of stages one through three.

Targets will be replaced at the conclusion of each stage.

Each relay will complete the course of fire before the next relay shoots.

Note re sighters: After completing sighter shots the sighter target will be marked off color and the competitors given a brief opportunity to view the results of their sighting shots through their scopes. After viewing, the sighter targets will be replaced with clean targets.

Squadding: Relay and target assignments will be made on a first come, first served basis the day of the match.
