Stage 2, Rapid Sitting

The rapid sitting stage is 10 rounds in 60 seconds, starting from the upright position, with a magazine change. Sling support is permitted.

The magazines are loaded as follows:

Service Rifle: "2 & 8" A magazine or clip with 2 rounds will be loaded on command while in the upright position. Once firing commences and this magazine is depleted, a second magazine containing 8 rounds will be loaded.

Match Rifle: "5 & 5" A magazine or stripper clip with 5 rounds will be loaded on command while in the upright position. Once firing commences and rifle is empty, a second magazine or clip containing 5 rounds will be loaded.

Stage Commands

The following sequence of commands is not intended as a guide rather it is a fixed set of words and events to be used exactly by the chief Range Officer or the person conducting the match over the public address system.

#3 Standing to Sitting
Relay number ___ to the firing line.
This is stage two (2) of the National Match Course, Ten (10) shots for record, rapid fire standing to sitting, 200 yards.  Time allowed sixty (60) seconds.  Your three minute preparation time will commence now.

Your three minute preparation period has ended, for stage two (2) of the National Match Course, ten (10) shots for record, rapid fire, standing to sitting, 200 yards.  With a clip or magazine with two (2) or five (5) rounds, load.

Is the line ready?  The line is ready!
Ready on the left?  Ready on the right?
All ready on the firing line!
You may commence firing!

Cease fire!  Clear all weapons.
Is the line clear?  The line is (not) clear.
You may move forward to police your brass, (and may remove your equipment from the firing line).

Relay number ___ go down range and paste targets.
(This relay will go down range and remove and replace targets.)
